The Vittoria Terreno Mix 700×38 Tubeless TNT anthracite gravel tyre with flex bead is the perfect tyre for mixed terrain.Open shouldered lugs for safe traction off the beaten trail.
Traditional tread profile for gentle transitions on a wide range of terrain.
Description
The Terreno Mix provides performance, no matter the terrain. The central tread is designed to minimise rolling resistance while offering safe traction when braking. Cornering and off camber work is managed safely by alternating open shoulder lugs. These lugs are shaped to provide a flexible feel on roads and hard surfaces, while offering solid and effective traction on grass and soil.
The Tubeless TNT, extreme puncture protection!
The Vittoria Gravel tyres use a puncture-resistant layer on the carcass under the tread. It is made of nylon, which is durable but lightweight. The Tubeless TNT versions use two nylon layers on the sidewall. They protect the sides of the tyre from cuts and perforations from stones and spines. This TNT construction makes the tyre very sturdy and durable, which is suitable for riding with or without an inner tube.
Graphene
The Vittoria gravel tyres use a unique Graphene component. The one on the central tread minimises rolling resistance and perforations while extending its life span. The shoulder zone uses 2 distinct Graphene components. The base component provides a stable base for loads on turns while ensuring protection from cuts. The surface component provides ultimate confidence on turns, both on dry and wet ground.
How to measure tyre wear
To measure the wear on your tyres and know when they need replacing, you need to inspect the tread. Signs of wear may include:
– the tyre tread beginning to fray
– a series of micro cracks
– flattening of the tread
– the carcass becoming visible.
In all these cases the tyre is worn and needs replacing.
How to remove a tyre
To remove your tyre, deflate the inner tube until no more air comes out.
Once deflated, use a tyre lever to remove the tyre from the rim.
How to install a tubeless ready tyre
Here’s a video that explains how to mount a tubeless ready tyre without inner tube, step by step:
Equipment required for a Tubeless Ready assembly:
– A tubeless valve
– A tubeless rim strip
– Tyre sealant
– A tubeless ready compatible rim
– A foot pump or compressor
How to inflate your tyre correctly
Inflate your tyre carefully. The recommended pressure is indicated on the tyre sidewall and in the product file.
Ensure your tyre pressure is correct before each ride.
Tip from the pros
When inflating your tyre, make sure you inflate it to the suitable pressure for the terrain you will be riding on and, above all, the weather conditions you will be riding in.
When riding in rainy weather, lower the tyre pressure to increase the tyre’s traction.
On the other hand, when riding in dry weather, you can increase the pressure for better performance.
